The passive ORTHOLIGHT® seating system consists of an aluminum seat shell whose seat and back section are connected by a hinge. A manual, continuously variable back angle adjustment is available as an option. ORTHOLIGHT® can be combined with all interco undercarriages: Seat and back unit can be shaped anatomically according to a body print and are equipped with multi-part removable upholstery in standard design or individually made to measure.
The individual cushion elements are covered separately with breathable fabric. The removable, washable upholstery covers enable optimum hygiene, long durability and easy replacement in the event of developmental changes.
We offer a variety of accessories to adapt to the respective restriction and the degree of activity of the patient. These include restraining aids, padding and support aids for head, trunk, pelvis, arms, legs and feet. A wide range of colors for upholstery fabrics and paintwork allows for customization in design as well.
Safe transport in an automobile
The product combination ORTHOLIGHT® seating system with SIMPLY LIGHT® base frame in combination with a safety harness was successfully tested according to ISO 7176-19 and ISO 10542-2. In conjunction with a safety harness, it is therefore suitable for patient transport in vehicles if the vehicle is equipped with an appropriate fastening system.
The ORTHOLIGHT® seating aids are suitable for patients who find a sitting position difficult, who are physiologically disturbed or who are unable to assume a sitting position due to anatomical changes. These can be due to functional deficits in the interaction between pelvis and spine caused either by a congenital or acquired deformation of the musculoskeletal system (e.g. bony joint structures) or by congenital or acquired insufficiencies of the locomotor system, the pelvis and/or the spine.
